7 Day Northern Laos Trails Tour Overview
80% off road, it’s a trail riding tour, so the focus is riding your motorcycle on as much dirt as we can. Rather than blasting town to town, we can get more trail riding without going as far. You’ll see big cities and small villages as we ride the trails. The jewel is Luang Prabang, with so many great trails combined with a cool city, you’ll immediately feel at home.

Day 1-: Luang Prabang Loop 150 km 5hrs. Luang Prabang is way too nice to come for a quick visit, we’ll have 2 days here, time for you to look around and enjoy the city. The trails are awesome, a maze of them on our doorstep. You can look forward to an exciting 2 days off road around Luang Prabang, day 1 will end at Kuang Si waterfalls.
Day 2: Luang Prabang Loop 2-140 Km 5 Hrs. riding. If you enjoyed the 1st day, today is going to be a blast, as we head high into the mountains around Luang Prabang riding the trails, we’ll then return to our hotel before heading for dinner and later the beautiful sunsets on the Mekong.
Day 3: Luang Prabang to Xayabury– 160 km 4-5 Hrs. riding. This tour is all about the trails, so it’s up early and we head off to more great trail riding, crossing the Mekong onto the remote areas of Luang Prabang countryside, different languages used out here, such a diverse place, more great riding. Overnight in a Local guest house.
Day 4: Xayabury to Paklai – 160 km 6-7 Hrs. riding. Today, seeing us go through the protected area of the Nam Phouy National Park with picturesque countryside and remote trails, really is a beautiful ride in this protected area. We will overnight in a local guest house.
Day 5: Paklai to Muang Fuang -140 km 5-6 Hrs. riding. Another day of off-road trails as we head for the delights of Muang Fuang, which has risen in popularity of late, it’s a stunning area, and the trail to get here won’t disappoint either. we will overnight in a local guest house by the river.
Day 6: Muang Fuang to Vang Vieng – 120 km 5-6 Hrs. riding. Today we’ll take a shorter day although the trail to get here is not an easy one, so we’ll see how the day goes. Hopefully we can arrive in Vang Vieng for the afternoon and enjoy the atmosphere of this buzzing town. the Amsterdam of the east.
Day 7: Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang – 188 km 5-7 Hrs. riding. Our last day on the trails together, fully rested after yesterday’s early finish? We have a blazing last day for you, more cool trails taking us back into Luang Prabang, where the tour will end with dinner and drinks.
