12 DAY NORTH TO SOUTH TOUR LAOS

Day 1) Luang Prabang to Nong Khiaw. 144 Kilometers, 5 Hrs Riding.

After a hearty breakfast and a detailed briefing, we’ll hit the road to kick off our adventure. Our first stop is the renowned Pak Ou Caves, a fascinating tourist spot nestled on the banks of the Nam Ou River. These historic caves, once used as a shelter during wartime, are now home to hundreds of intricate Buddha sculptures—a must-see for cultural enthusiasts. Following a short tour of the caves, we’ll continue north on the scenic Route 13 towards Nong Khiaw, where we’ll stay overnight in accommodations overlooking the serene Nam Ou River.

Day 2) Nong Khiaw to Muang Hiam. 165 Kilometers, 5 Hrs Riding.

Get ready for an exhilarating day of riding as we head east along Route 1C, a thrilling stretch of road famous for its roller-coaster-like twists and turns. With thousands of bends and stunning panoramic views, this route takes us through an area once known for its tigers, offering an unforgettable ride for adventure seekers.
Upon arrival in Muang Hiam, we’ll unwind with a relaxing soak in the local hot springs, the perfect remedy to soothe the muscles after a rewarding day on the road. We’ll spend the night in a cozy local guest house, ready to rest and recharge for the next leg of our journey.

Day 3) Muang Hiam to Phonsavan. 220 Kilometers 5 Hrs Riding. A full day’s riding today as we rejoin the 1C and make our way south towards Phonsavan. Phonsavan is a world Heritage site, famous for the Plain of Jars, of which there are many sites. The most famous is Site 1 which we will visit on our rest day.

Day 4) Phonsavan to Viengthong. 250 Kilometers, 6 Hrs Riding.

Another great day on the roads ahead. The 1C wind is making its way south into the flatter lands of the South. We have a long ride ahead of us today, so we will need an early start. On arrival in Thalang, you can kick back with a cold beer and enjoy the sunset over the lakes.

Day 5) Viengthong to Phousy Thalang. 140 Kilometers, 3 Hrs Riding.

We will keep heading south today, and you will see how the countryside changes, with more karst mountains and huge valleys. A new road that won’t disappoint takes us to a reservoir. On arrival in Nakia, we will overnight lakeside, surrounded by nature.

Day 6) Phousy Thalang to Sainamhai. 250 Kilometers, 5 Hrs Riding.

Today, we say goodbye to the serene Thalang and proceed on the Thakhet Loops towards Thakhet. Taking in the sights of the Loop, we will stop at Kong Leng Lake for lunch and take a dip in the crystal blue waters of the lake. Very popular with the Locals and Tourists. Then it’s onto the comforts of the Sainamhai resort for our overnight Accomadation.

Day 7) Sainamhai to Konglor Cave. 90 Kilometers, 2 Hrs Riding.

A shorter day today and a chance to relax a little. We will take the bikes down to Konglor Cave. Upon arrival, we will take a boat ride through the cave, which is nothing short of spectacular. The accommodation in the pods built on the mountain is something to behold
